JUDITH E. STEIN

Senior Principal

Judy Stein is a Senior Principal with Quatt Associates. Judy’s practice includes the design and implementation of human resources strategies and systems, organization structure and process redesign, strategic planning, organizational assessment, and executive coaching.

Judy has designed systems for clients that serve to integrate critical human resources processes including compensation, performance management, career development and succession planning. She has also assisted numerous clients in defining a strategic direction, translating it into measurable goals and objectives, and developing a performance management process at the organizational and individual level to monitor progress. She has also worked with clients to restructure business operations and processes to maximize effectiveness.

Prior to joining Quatt Associates, Judy was a consultant with CSC Index, where she concentrated on organization development and executive coaching. She joined CSC after serving as a compensation and human resources manager with Mobil Corporation. There, she provided both strategic and tactical support for the implementation of large-scale corporation-wide organization change initiatives. Prior to her work in the oil and gas industry, Judy consulted to a broad range of industries including banking, insurance, and consumer products.

Judy’s work has included auditing human resource programs for effectiveness and strategic impact, leading organization-wide restructuring following a period of rapid growth, executive compensation analysis and design for associations and other not-for-profit organizations, developing and implementing comprehensive performance management systems and conducting training programs to ensure smooth implementation, market pricing and the development of compensation and job classification systems, reengineering of core organizational processes, facilitation of organizational planning including the development of organizational scorecards, and executive coaching and senior team development.

Judy is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, where she studied art history and mathematics.
